Yeah, I’m really getting PISSED now. Anyway:
So the Halloween dance was last week. My class hosted it and we raked in $ 1100. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t great could have been better…was going to be better…grr. I managed to get Bohemian Rhapsody played even though Aza (who was running the music) was being a little bitch, not that that’s unusual. My friend was sick and I think I caught whatever she had just from proximity. So, I was sick on Halloween, but like hell I was going to let that stop me. I went to the party that’s held by my classmate every year. A lot of people cam drunk and were either being jackasses, idiots, or both. Some were just loud and obnoxious and others felt the need to body surf down the stairs…repeatedly…at the same time. They also managed to tip the bathtub. Overall it was pretty funny, but this is my reasoning for having no desire to drink because I don’t really feel like making a complete fool of myself.
Oh yeah, can’t forget this:

I am Indy
Yes I meant to spell it that way and you know why? Because it’s fucking painful! Yesterday, George has an apparently very belated birthday “party” at a paintball arena. My mom, of course, was against it and to make it worse, the a few days before there was an article in the newspaper about some guys wife who was killed by an out of control CO2 tank. Oh well. It was really fun. We played a bunch of 6-10 minute games. At first the goal was just to eliminate the other team. Then, we played a game where you had to move when the ref blew his whistle. After that, we played some capture the flag. Finally we played something called “President” in which George had a small team protecting him while he tried to reach a specific point. In the first game, I survived for a while until I was hit in the head or at least I thought I was, because I felt something hit the top of my head and splatter, but upon inspection there was nothing there. I think I survived the next round. The one after that, I got hit on the base of my pinky, which broke the skin. Then, in another round, I got hit twice, once on each arm, and thought that I was out, but it turned out that neither had broken (if it doesn’t break your still in…it just hurts more). All this time, I’m not sure if I hit anyone, I wasn’t really staying out in the open to see. My tactic was to move as fast as possible, stay low, and pop out and shoot when I though it was clear; it worked pretty well. Well, it worked well up until the first round of “President”. My friend Alex and I planned on going as a team because we had been successful with this tactic. So, we set out, hiding behind stuff, slowly moving into the lower part of the field where the other team was. The other team was way down there, so I ran ahead of Alex and crouched down behind a barrel. As I went down behind the barrel, a nail (or screw), that was sticking out at the base of the barrel, cut through my jeans and cut my leg for about 3 inches. Upon realizing this, I proceeded to shout “FUCK!” rather loud. After being scolded by the ref for language (who knows why he cared), I went out and walked up the the center of operations shack. It wasn’t that bad, it was maybe a millimeter deep, but it was bleeding and that’s not usually a good thing. So the guy at the shack gave me some stuff to put on it and then bandaged it up for me. What’s surprising is that it didn’t actually hurt at all. So, after I was all fixed up and had a little water, I went back down and got back in the game. They had started a second round of “President” and I was just in time to join. This time, the president’s team started at the top of the arena, so we had to move up the hill. Again I went with Alex and we went up the left side. I managed to get to a fort just just beneath the crest of the hill, with at least three of them in fort twenty feet from mine. I saw one peaking out from his for, but he saw me as well. We shot at each other for a while. Then, I realized that I had run out of ammo even though I had stated with at least 175 rounds. I fired a few blind but blank shots and got yelled at by one of the refs so I decided to just sit it out and hope the other team would waist their ammo. A couple minutes later, Paul came around the corner and surrendered me (within 15 you do this instead of shooting them). I would have tried surrendering him, but I wasn’t sure if you could without ammo, which you can. Anyway, just after he surrenders me, Alex fires off two shots and hits him in the goggles, it was pretty sweet/funny. The one thing that I really didn’t like was that my mask pinched my ears on my glasses frame, which really hurt. In the end, my injuries included: 2 bloody shots to my left hand, a bruise on my right arm, another bruise on my right thigh, and of course the 3 inch cut on my leg. Overall, I’d say I cam out pretty good. Well, not quite, this morning I was trying to keep my bandage from coming off, so I was going slow, which made me late and the result of that was that I missed a quiz in history even though I got there just as they finished passing it out (my teacher’s policy is that you can’t take the quiz if it’s been handed out). So, yeah, I’m fucked in history. Plus, the entire day, my legs were unbelievably sore; I was barely able to walk down the stairs. Also, I decided not to go to Ultimate practice because, well, it just sounds like a bad idea. And now I’m fucked because I just spent a bunch of time writing this post (that no one but spammers will see) and I have a shitload to do, like study for a bio test on stuff that we never finished covering in class because my class if a bunch of fucking idiots that spend the entire time either flirting with the teacher, asking stupid questions, adding stupid and unnecessary information, and on the whole not understanding the material.
Happy birthday to Mattie…yesterday.
So, the other night I went on Ebay to see what bullwhips were up for auction. There was an 8 foot one for $13ish with no bids and only 5 minutes left. What the hell, right? RIGHT! Got it for $13ish…of course shipping was $9.95ish; so it ended up being $24, but now I have a bullwhip! Here are the updated shots:
Also, my friend Alex just informed me that we’re going to see Coheed and Cambria in SF in November. Fuck Yeah! If you haven’t heard of ‘em I suggest you look here. SciFi and rock? Epic.
So it turns out people weren’t as interested in having some sand as I thought…their loss. In other news, school is back in session…dammit.
So you all (or you nil) know where I was right? Oahu, right! And you all know what popular TV show known for raising questions and then never giving answers was filmed there? LOST that right! So of course I had to go find the beach on which it was filmed and get some of the sand for my friend Alex, who is like a preacher of the Lost Gospel at school (really he’s converted quite a number og us). I looked up the locale on teh internets and found out that it was filmed on Mokule’ia Beach in northern Oahu. I should have looked at Lostpedia though because that tells you exactly where. So my family and I headed out in search of the Losties’ beach. Well we got to Mokule’ia Beach Park and to my dismay it didn’t really look right. So we tried further down. Nope still not right. So we went into a town nearby to ask for directions. We found a woman who told us that in fact we were in the right area and that the Nigeria scenes were actually filmed in the town (likely in the nearby, empty, field). So, I decided that even if I couldn’t find the exact stretch of sand, some was better than none. We went back out and found a nice bit and I got myself a nice quart-sized ziploc bag of sand. I wasn’t sure it would make it through security even though it was in my checked baggage, but I hoped. It made it; even though it was in a bag that also contained a rifle shell that my dad found, and a swiss army rip-off. I decided that as opposed to giving the entire bag to Alex, I’d hand it out to all of my friends who are into Lost. The one thing left to do was to get something to put the sand in. Yesterday after work I went over to Palace Arts to see if they had any vials…they didn’t. As my dad was driving down Pacific Avenue, I was trying to think of where I could get some vials. The only place I could think of was Bead It. What the hell, right? So I go in and go over to where they have bags and boxes. Lo and behold! I found the perfect vials! So I bought 8 for $1.74 and emerged victorious. I printed up some labels and now they’re good to go. Here they are:

Of course, I still have at least 3/4 of a quart of sand left. Maybe I can sell it on Ebay. Also, the other night I looked on Lostpedia to see exactly where Lost was shot and I was pretty damn close, in fact I don’t doubt that I walked on sand that Jack and Locke set foot on as well. Some of the pictures in the virtual tour look rather familiar. however, I think I got even closer the first time we went to Hawaii. One day we went out all the way to that point. So, probably passed right by where it was filmed. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures because it didn’t look right, oh well. If you go through the virtual tour on Lostpedia’s Mokule’ia page, you might see a no trespassing sign, I’m pretty sure I saw those signs. Tomorrow’s the first day of my Junior year; I’m gonna wear my Indie hat and hand out my sand.
